TECH REVIEW: Sleek Seyvr phone-charger wallet offers a welcome boost

IF you are looking for a present for someone who seems to have everything, then the Seyvr wallet could be the gift that keeps on giving.
Nestling inside this sleek, compact design lies the power to boost your phone or tablet’s battery while out and about.
Just charge it fSeyvror a couple of hours, via a micro-usb cable, or lightening charger for the iPhone version, and plug into your device to keep its death-knell beeps at bay.
What’s more, Seyvr is also a sturdy wallet made from real leather with room for seven cards and a flap for stashing banknotes or receipts. It comes in black or brown.
I managed to slide in 10 cards without too much difficulty or adding too much bulk.
As for cash, I found that it could comfortably cope with four or five £20 notes.
The cables are stylishly stowed in the design, though the wallet and phone really need to be on a flat surface during a boost. If the power export cable had been longer then it could lie snugly next to your phone in a pocket.
The battery holds about a third of the charge of an Android phone, or the iPhone version can replenish 70 per cent of the charge.
Though I thought it seemed a bit of a gimmick at first, I have grown to like the Seyvr wallet, and although it has not replaced my everyday wallet stuffed full of business cards, it is great for when I want to travel lighter.
At present, the Seyvr phone-charger wallet is only available at Cuckooland.com, priced at £49.95 for the android version and £59.95 for the iPhone version.
